Technically, today is the 4th, but I wake up to a new day. So, on Eva time, it is still the 3rd.
Kimmy left today. Went to see him at the airport. Almost didn't go because of programming tomorrow, but realized that I wasn't going to see him in ages. Even managed to whip up a card-y thing, yay!
Usually I feel a bit malu giving KimPok art-pieces since he's the designer man, but I know he'll appreciate it and anyways, we've made art together (designs/ writing). I'm sure he and his bear-berry scarf will have a blast on exchange.
The philo presentation went pretty well. Had breakfast with a random class mate who pointed out another manner of developing one of my points. Was pleased to get his feedback and it got me thinking too. "Hurrah" to mental stimulation. We watched Brakhage films in class and covered the works of Merleau-Ponty.
Materials was also good today. Composites. The PBL (Problem Based Learning... not Professionally Botched Lobotomy, as Anandhan calls it hoho) sounds like it'll take up a lot of time though. Prof T did tell us to approach him if we had too much on our plates. Hmmmm.... wonder if it had anything to do with the stabbing of the NTU prof?
On a more somber note though, that poor kid... another life lost, in vain? Stressed, worked up and ended up stabbing his FYP supervisor. The lecturer did survive though the student (an electrical eng. final year undergrad) committed suicide. Really sad.
People kept asking about Ginger's whereabouts. The nonchalance wore off when someone asked "What if he's dead?!" Didn't take it too seriously, but my morbid imagination took grip and went on its own fanciful flight. I saw hollow eye sockets, maggot infested flesh and blue skin... eeeyer.
Anyhoo, called him after class. He was at home, down with a flu. Hahaha. No need to sniff at the slit at the bottom of the door to check for deaths malodorous presence. Great relief there.
